What a delightful reception we had for Jayne Capps!

So many people attended to meet Jayne and admire her newest one-of-a-kind jewelry. She was kind enough to bring her mother and nephew all the way from Oklahoma, and these are some stalwart people who had a very late-night plane delay causing their Cape Cod arrival at 5:00am. They claimed that their Cape Cod visit was worth the trouble. Jayne’s work will continue to be shown in the gallery throughout the season.

Iva Liebert’s July reception introduced her newest work.

Liebert is exploring the effect of light on her latest subjects and also brought us two additions to her “Rain” series. Now is the time to view her small works that make such wonderful gifts and include Bearscapes, Beach Scenes, and Out of the Bowl. Those works as well as many of her larger oils will hang in the gallery for the rest of the summer.

Our Next Show: The French Connection – Lynn Shaler

As usual, I am very excited about Lynn Shaler’s “The French Connection” reception August 9th, 5-7pm. Help us welcome Lynn to the Cape from her home in Paris. In addition to discussing her work at our Wine and Cheese Reception, she’ll do a presentation explaining her aquatint process on Sunday, August 10th, from 2-3pm at the gallery.

Only Three Artist’s Receptions remain this season!

All are Saturdays, 5-7pm, and many feature performing musicians and special exhibits from other Orleans businesses. Please join us for:

August 9: The French Connection: Lynn Shaler – Lynn will attend the show and present a discussion of her work the following day 2-3pm at the gallery

August 30: Cool Off with ICE: Photography of Alaska and Antarctica – entertainment by World Music Fiddler Denya LeVine

October 11: Cape Artist Karen North Wells: Before the Fall – Visit with Karen to discuss her work and see the results of her remarkable recovery.

Please check our website www.jozyfineart.com for details about the work we’re showing at each exhibit. Jozy always shows the beautiful images of Cape Cod and New England in many formats.

Enjoy beautiful Cape Cod, the Art and other events…

August events throughout the Cape are listed below.

A WORD ABOUT ONE OF THE LISTED EXHIBITS. I was fortunate enough to have the time to take a friend to Highfield Hall in Falmouth. This home, built in the 1800’s, was fully restored at a cost of $8.5 million. It was worth the money, what a fantastic building. The exhibit, noted below, is exquisite. It’s truly hard to imagine how this detailed work was done. Take the time, make the drive, and enjoy the home, the exhibit, and the beautiful gardens. Highly recommended!

About+the+Gallery

About the Gallery

I am a long time collector of art from both new artists and the well known. My vision for Jozy Fine Art is a gallery that will present work from artists long collected while providing a venue for new talent struggling for attention. I like themes, so we’ll use some of my favorites to feature oils and acrylics, aquatint etching, fine art photography, and handcrafted jewelry. The gallery space is open and comfortable – meant to welcome all visitors… Jozy
