Jozy Fine Art Newsletter                                                 June 2014

Our 2014 Season Begins!

We’re enjoying a glorious spring, and this Memorial Day weekend brought license plates from all over New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Jozy’s Opening Event was filled with flowers from a local garden and many visitors – some old friends and new faces as well. They all appreciated L. Robert Jasper’s incredible Africa images. Another photographer called his daughter and asked her to bring his granddaughter to see the photos. She was a lovely child and ooh’d and ah’d over the African animals!  Jasper’s exhibit will be shown until June 9th.

There were also ooh’s and ah’s, this time by adults, when they saw Lynn Shaler’s latest aquatint etching Le Temps Suspendu. This beautiful miniature of a chaise in a library evoked the comment, “How does she do that?” time and time again. She’s truly an amazing artist. Lynn will visit us August 9 and 10 – a “don’t miss” reception from 5-7 on the 9th and a talk by the artist from 2-3 on the 10th.

I’m sure visitors will be just as enthralled when they view the Lou Clark Retrospective opening with a wine and cheese reception June 14, 5-7pm. Clark will be stopping by to discuss his body of work, and we’ll be showing many New England images as well as never before seen work. As a special treat The Simple Gifts Woodwind Ensemble will entertain us from the deck at Boardwalk Commons.

Jozy Fine Art is hosting several Artist’s Receptions this season.  All are Saturdays, 5-7pm.

These receptions give visitors a chance to meet our artists and other collectors. Many feature performing musicians and special exhibits from other Orleans businesses. Please join us for:

About the Gallery

About the Gallery

I am a long time collector of art from both new artists and the well known. My vision for Jozy Fine Art is a gallery that will present work from artists long collected while providing a venue for new talent struggling for attention. I like themes, so we’ll use some of my favorites to feature oils and acrylics, aquatint etching, fine art photography, and handcrafted jewelry. The gallery space is open and comfortable – meant to welcome all visitors… Jozy
