Lynn Shaler’s International Debut!

Lynn Shaler is a captivating artist whose delightful aquatint etchings are shown throughout the season at Jozy Fine Art. Lynn paid her annual visit to the Gallery August 9 and 10. The artist’s reception on the 9th was well-attended, and Lynn was able to talk to many of her collectors. Her discussion of her work the following day was mesmerizing. Even many who are familiar with her work weren’t aware of the painstaking detail involved in the creation of her etchings.

Lynn arrived on Cape Cod with her latest work – Ile St. Louis, Epeuvre Unique 1/1 – and I was so thrilled be a part of its international debut. The detail in this etching is amazing. This unique artist’s proof is available for
sale, and a print from the limited edition run can be preordered at Jozy Fine Art.

Just a word about an artist’s proof – something I have recently learned: Artist’s proofs are produced before the limited edition run as test prints and are used by the artist to ensure the print is just how she wants it. They may vary slightly from the limited edition run. Artist proofs are often seen as more valuable as they are fewer in number and can be more unique. In the case of Lynn’s latest
work, a truly unique 1 of 1.

New Fine Art Photography of Antartica and Alaska

On August 30, Jozy hosted another long-awaited reception. The work of fine art photographers L. Robert
Jasper
in Antarctica and Lou Clark in Alaska was shown for the first time. Jasper’s Antarctica images
are vibrant and almost shocking in intensity. He certainly enjoyed discussing his techniques and the Antarctica photo shoot that enabled him to
produce these photographs.

Lou Clark visited from St. Louis to attend the reception and discuss his iconic photography of Alaska shot in 2004. His images captured the diversity of the state and particularly the majesty of Denali.

I am very proud to announce the following from the Professional Photographers of America:

A PHOTOGRAPH created by Louis G Clark Jr of Jozy Fine Art on Cape Cod has recently been accepted into the GENERAL Collection of Professional
Photographers of America’s 2014 International Photographic Competition. Clark’s work will be on display at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee Feb. 1-3, 2015. This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for
professional photographers and several photographic associations.

A panel of 45 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,000 total submitted entries at Gwinnett Technical
College in Georgia. Judged against a standard of excellence, just over 1,800 images were selected for the General Collection.

Titled “Dogwood Aglow“, Clark’s photograph will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from
the competition and traveling and special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world’s largest annual exhibits of
professional photography gathered simultaneously under one roof.

About the Gallery

About the Gallery

I am a long time collector of art from both new artists and the well known. My vision for Jozy Fine Art is a gallery that will present work from artists
long collected while providing a venue for new talent struggling for attention. I like themes, so we’ll use some of my favorites to feature oils and
acrylics, aquatint etching, fine art photography, and handcrafted jewelry. The gallery space is open and comfortable – meant to welcome all visitors… Jozy
