Looking Forward to Fall!

Everyone who attended our August 10th reception and August 11th discussion was enthralled with the work of Parisian artist Lynn Shaler. Lynn was here to greet guests – many old friends who rediscovered her work on Cape Cod and new collectors as well. Her talk on the 11th was immensely informative. She discussed her latest work “Les Reflets du Soir” accompanied by big-screen photographs of the complicated and painstaking process. Everyone knows how meticulous her work is, but this presentation put in perspective just how amazingly detailed she has to be to get such beautiful results.

Also in attendance was Massachusetts artist Iva Liebert whose Bearscapes and “Out of the Bowl” series have fascinated visitors all summer. The one-of-a-kind jewelry by Jayne Capps was also featured. New Capps’ jewelry arrived at the end of August.

What a festive turnout for the August 31st fine art photography reception! Huge crowd as the result of a good bit of advertising and the largess of friends. Many visitors had been to the locations featured in American Scenes, and many others now have plans to visit those locations. This show will continue until October 11th.

Jozy Fine Art has two more shows this yearOctober 12th is the “Homecoming” featuring the photography of New England. On December 7th see “Put Art Under Your Tree” at our Holiday reception from 11:00am to 7:00pm. The gallery will have both large and small works showing from Thanksgiving through December 9th.

Jozy Fine Art will continue to be open from Labor Day through December 9th, but be sure to check the web site for hours of operation. WE’LL BE CLOSED SEPTEMBER 23RD – SEPTEMBER 25TH AND AGAIN OCTOBER 15TH – OCTOBER 23RDBEGINNING OCTOBER 24TH, WE’LL BE OPEN THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY FROM 11:OOAM TO 4:00PM.

Thanks to those who attended our August shows. I look forward to seeing you through the fall and into December…   Jozy

NOW SHOWING:

“American Scenes”

“American Scenes” is an exciting show for me, because I was present at many of the photo shoots that produced the stylish, evocative images the artists will present. Fine art photographers Lou Clark and L. Robert Jasper attended the August 31st wine and cheese reception to discuss their work.

The beauty of America’s national parks, monuments, and breathtaking coastlines line our walls in the main room at Jozy Fine Art. Images from the most recent photo shoot in Yosemite National Park are well represented. Locations also include Zion, Grand Canyon, Arizona’s Slot Canyons, New England, and many others.

Lynn Shaler’s finely detailed etchings are in a separate room that offers visitors the opportunity for leisurely viewing. Shaler’s work is collected internationally, and I’m so proud to be her exclusive representative on Cape Cod and in New England. We always have at least twenty-five matted and framed pieces of Lynn’s work in the gallery.

Also showing are oils and mixed media by Massachusetts artist Iva Liebert and handcrafted jewelry by Jayne Capps of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This work, as well as additional new jewelry, will be on display through October 11th.

Enjoy beautiful Cape Cod, the Art and other events…

About the Gallery

About the Gallery

I am a long time collector of art from both new artists and the well known. My vision for Jozy Fine Art is a gallery that will present work from artists long collected while providing a venue for new talent struggling for attention. I like themes, so in our first year I’ll use some of my favorites to feature oils and acrylics, aquatint etching, fine art photography, and handcrafted jewelry. The gallery space is open and comfortable – meant to welcome all visitors… Jozy
